The Fairy Collection is an offering of sweetness encapsulated in adornments that honor the essence of the Fairy and Flower Realms. Inspired by the boundless inner imaginary worlds we create that become reflected in our outer worlds when we open our minds and our hearts.

I believe that the crystals carry epic wisdom and know the precise moment to start shouting. When a stone calls so powerfully to so many, there is something in the vibrational frequency of that mineral that is here to carve out a doorway in space and time that we are ready to walk through. It feels like no coincidence to me that this stone decided to be shared with you the week of 7/7/23, aka 7-7-7 portal where the Sun and Sirius (our spiritual Sun) come into alignment prior to Lion's Gate coming up in August.

In January of this year as mom and I were making our yearly rounds at our most preferred stone cutters on day one at the Tucson Gem Show, I was having a very hard time being present. Something was on my mind. That something on my mind was love and the script I was running was how horrible I am at it.

Last week I wrote to you about the synchronicity surrounding the card pull from Lainie's Oracle Deck: The Keeper of Thunder and Lightning, and how it felt deeply connected to the potent power of the Herkimer Diamond. Not even an hour later, as I lay on my back with a pulled muscle contemplating the fact that my body is taking on years and therefore new modes of getting my attention, the thunder started roaring. And I am talking about CRAZY THUNDER. Thunder that rumbled like a stampede of horses galloping for minutes on-end without taking a beat to simmer down.

Today my mom was taking me to pick up my car which had to be detailed due to a water leak. This afternoon St. Louis is supposed to get a heavy storm with a possible tornado in the mix. On the car ride over she mentioned that she and and our handyman extraordinaire were chatting and Travis said to her "did you hear the lightning last night?" My mom replied "you do not hear lightning. You see it. You hear thunder." They debated this for awhile. I researched it.

I realized the other day in pottery class that when things get off track in my world, I have a very hard time believing that me myself and I can fix them. If the clay gets bumped by my elbow while I am throwing it on the wheel, I raise my hand for the teacher to come mend it. I do not trust myself to repair it myself. I have always had someone by my side who could mend things for me and help set them right. I honor this truth for the gift it is and also am coming to realize I have not necessarily done myself a service by consistently expecting someone else to fix it.

This particular collection focuses her magic on two major themes: Support for Transitions and a Return to Ritual Adornment. I believe the precursor to ritual adornment is remembering that the stones are alive and speaking. The concept of animism is helping me understand how through connecting to nature, I connect to myself and the people around me. When I gaze into a gem, I have the opportunity to open my eyes to the universe.

The name "Emerald" was first translated from the Sanskrit word "marakata"-- meaning: "the green of growing things." St. Hildegard of Bingen, the noted lithologist, declared, “All the green of nature is concentrated within the Emerald.”

The people we meet at the gem show. That's where the gold is at. We sat next to a couple in their 80's at lunch yesterday and they shared tales of immigrating from the Ukraine and France during wartime when they were young. How they found one another in a "misplaced persons camp"--which made my heart cry just thinking of the words "misplaced person..." How can those words exist together in the same grouping when they breathe such opposite forms of life. The husband searches for lithium underground all over the world. The wife is a singer. They we wearing turquoise and malachite and carnelian. Their words carried minerals that make the stones come to life.

I write to you from a tender, deeply healing part of my heart. I send this love note from the valley of Tucson, surrounded on all four sides by sturdy mountains. The place I went to undergraduate school where my heart cracked open so many times so that it could let more love in. The city that holds mountains of my hard tears and so many joys and growth-spurt-markers. A town that my Chiron Line (the Wounded Healer) runs straight through, literally cutting the city in half from the perceptive of the stars based on the astro-cartography reading my friend Ali gifted me.

The Super New Moon in Aquarius is a big one and within one day of the new moon, ALL of our major planets will be direct. Forward momentum feels like the truth and to me, it actually finally feels like the New Year is really finally here. I was reading earlier in the week about water holding memories and that grabbed me---which led me to read about seawater and how the salt in the water carries an electrical charge, just like the crystals do.

A sweet and simple shout out to say thank you so incredibly much for making our year so expansive. As your desire to know the crystals and stones better grows, our reservoir of creation expands. This year, like most of the years before that, has come with some serious ups and downs and everything in between. It has been an honor to ride the waves with you.
