Smoky Quartz Solar Portal

Smoky quartz carries a mystery: crystal darkened into smoke, holding light within shadow.

Carved into a solar portal, it becomes an image of the darkened sun, a threshold between what can be seen and what remains hidden.

Above it rests a mauve-purple Edison pearl, luminous against the smoky stone like an orb appearing at twilight. Pearls are born within darkness, formed slowly through layer upon luminous layer, making this one a beautiful companion to the shadowed quartz below.

Together they speak to the strange illumination that can only arrive when the ordinary light is interrupted.
