The cartouche was used to encircle the names of pharaohs, signifying their divine authority and ensuring their names were safeguarded for eternity. In Egyptian belief, to preserve one’s name was to preserve one’s soul.
The oval shape symbolizes the cosmic “rope” of protection, enclosing and shielding what’s within. It represents a magical barrier—keeping harmful forces out while amplifying the spiritual power of what’s written inside.
The elongated oval was a symbol of the “shenu,” meaning encirclement or eternity. By enclosing a name in a cartouche, it emphasized the unending cycle of life, rebirth, and the immortality of the soul.
This one is a nameplate/emblem/talisman of the sacred carved by water and time made of Abalone with an Obsidian Star "Mirror" and a Cosmic Opal to assist us in traveling far and wide without moving an inch physically.
