XIX. The Sun

“Joy is the light that reveals everything.”

In the Pagan Otherworlds deck, The Sun is pure vitality. The bright, expansive energy that follows the long night of The Moon. It is illumination without fear, the return of innocence, the warmth that invites life to bloom again. Under The Sun, truth shines simply and beautifully. Joy becomes clarity; clarity becomes freedom.

Carved into a solar portal, the smoky quartz carries the energy of the sun that is sometimes cast in shadow, sometimes covered by weather, but never stops existing.

Above it rests a mauve-purple Edison pearl, luminous against the smoky stone like an orb appearing just as the sun recedes.

Together they speak to the strange illumination that can only arrive when the ordinary light is interrupted.
