Smoky Quartz is a stone that deeply honors the Earth we inhabit. It's energy is rare, because it is simultaneously one of the most Grounding Root Chakra Stones, while also allowing incredibly potent white/silver light to enter through the Crown Chakra and purify the body like Sage or Palo Santo or sitting in ritual with loving reverence. 

Its name comes from its color and the way it appears to have wisps of smoke moving and circulating through it. It clears. It cleanses. It purifies. 

A national stone of Scotland, it was used as a power symbol and adornment for Highlander apparel and jewelry.

Smoky Quartz is associated with the ancient Greek goddess, Hecate, the Goddess of Magic. It was used to assist souls in traveling to the afterlife. And has also been associated with the Earth Gods and Goddesses. 

 We have been looking to get the perfect Smoky Quartz minerals for our Pendulums, and this year, we finally found the perfect stone cutter to make them. Almost all of these have amazing rainbow inclusions and are some of the most stunning and enchanting we have seen.
