Yesterday was the Jupiter Cazimi, which means Jupiter was conjunct, aka, in the heart of the Sun.
Today we have the Cancer New Moon which positions itself in a cardinal grand cross, which feels like a very big new beginning on so many levels.
Cancer is the Mother of the Zodiac. Ruled by the Moon and her phases of light and dark.
A cosmic spiralic sea of becoming, unbecoming, re-becoming.
I heard the most fantastic things in a Marion Woodman lecture from the 80's the other night.
She brought up the bulbs we plant, feed and watch grow.
"Why do we have more faith in the bulb blooming than our own ability to change."
She references the ways in which primitive societies held safe containers for humans to experience death and re-birth cycles through rites of passage and initiation, which our culture does not openly carry.
Marion connected menopause to the chrysalis in this talk. And I paraphrase: "Women going through the menopausal transition often end up going through the puberty transition emotionally and physically.
They become quite adolescent because the woman going through puberty did not have the container to make that passover into her own feminine relationship to her body and to the cosmos. Therefore the body in menopause goes into something like a spasm, and she has to go through something quite violent in order to come into her body, in order to let it go. She has to learn to cherish and fully inhabit her body before it will allow her to surrender to let the self fully come through."
Something about the way she said this sparked truth so deeply in me. How beautiful to remember back to that time of being thirteen years old and connecting it to emotions rising in me now.
Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system, and generates more light radiation than it receives from the Sun.

I love Caroline W. Casey's explanation of the planet Jupiter, and I paraphrase---"Jupiter is the Story Teller. He reminds us that each and every part of our journey has been a necessary fabric that bridges the entire tapestry of our lives into a colorful whole. He is a COLLAGE artist."
YES. A weaver of words and worlds that connects the dots so at the end of the day we can say, oh! aha. I see how that little gnarly or beautiful speck was so necessary and now a large part of the whole of me.
Jupiter's magic is in synthesizing the many parts of our journey.... opening the lens, the eye-hole we peer through wider to better view the stories within the stories so that we may take something from reality in the 3-D and extrapolate meaning from it.
How we make meanings of our lives and insert our stories into fantastical art pieces is up to us.
Jupiter's glyph is a mini moon on top of the cross of Matter.
-A cycle connected to the container that holds it safely so it may make the pass-over-
Jupiter reminds us that when we offer to the world around us from a place of true felt percolating abundance, we invoke said vibration.
He moves in twelve-year cycles. One year in each sign.
Right now, at 4 degrees of Cancer, is a beautiful time to reflect back to twelve years ago and see, hear, smell what was occurring in your life at that time.
Then thread your way forward into all that has led you to this moment.
Hone in on the beauty, the bounty, the grace you have experienced and that you want to bring with you into the next twelve.
Jupiter magnifies and makes bigger. Let go let go let go of that which you do not want to be made bigger.
