When I am struggling the main things/tools that help me are human connection, movement, and crystals or other natural forms of beauty.
I have been listening to Tara Brach and her "De-conditioning the Hungry Ghosts Meditation" every day over the last month.
I love the way she opens a lens via Buddhist cosmology that many addictive behaviors and patterns that are not great for us are linked to the ways in which we have lost touch with our desires- which in Latin is translated to mean "away from our star."
She speaks to our desires for love and safety, when gone unmet, can cause a narrowed and painful stream of loops and habits trying to fill the hole of the unmet need.
Via this teaching, the antidote to our addiction lives not in punishment or shame.
The antidote lives in our ability to soften the heart and open the gates for compassion to come flooding in.
Addictions and patterns we are ready to let go of often do not let go their gnarly grip when we pour more pain onto them by consistently making ourselves wrong. This is something I am still learning, practicing, facing DAILY as I attempt to unravel myself from many loops that at this point in mid-life have super outworn their welcome. And yet, somehow, much easier to say I will let go than to actually drop the rock.
The Lions Gate portal is open and this week, we're meeting it with not just with fire, but with water, with flow, with depth.
Yes, the Sun is in Leo, bold and brilliant.
But Jupiter and Venus are in Cancer, drawing us inward alongside the many planets in retrograde-all seeming to ask us to dive deeper into the layers that live beneath the surface.
Our annual LION'S GATE COLLECTION is informed by golden light connected to the brightest star in the sky aligning with the Sun in Leo.
AND ALSO: this year we could not ignore the siren calls of the sea and the treasures that glimmer from below asking for their place in the sun of our hearts.
Pearls, aquamarine wands with slender prismatic walls, agates carved into shells, abalone ears of the sea and other stone swimmers are included in the tides of this collection. This year is all about radiance with roots that remind us how we are woven together.
Each piece holds a code of peace like an anchor for us to tap into so it can spread.

In conjunction with the release of these lions of the sea pieces, this Friday, 8/8, from 11-12pm CST, I am hosting a free call for the POUND community to share astrology, stones, symbols, and what is stirring within us.
You are welcome to bring a journal, your favorite stone or POUND Piece, a cup of tea....or just bring you as you are. No pressure just presence.
This is a space to pause and be in the field together amidst the cosmic swirling mentioned above and the stones that help us root into our bodies and name what is being reclaimed and what is being released.
