Ears of the Sea – New Abalone Necklaces
Water’s wisdom, fire’s courage, and the soft glow of nature’s patience

“To understand water is to understand the cosmos, the marvels of nature, and life itself.”
– Dr. Masaru Emoto

We are leaving the tender waters of Cancer season—where we have been held in the soft womb of the sea, the moon, and the mother. And now, we step into Leo’s fire, into the open sunlit world of courage, heart, and expression.

For some of us, this transition feels like an unraveling—like loosening the rope that kept us safe and snug inside the shell of home. The ocean inside wants to meet the sun and feel the fire of it lighting up our many courageous forms of expression.

And here, at this edge between the inner and outer worlds, the Abalone waits.

Abalone are marine beings that live in cold coastal waters. Over years, they secrete nacre—mother-of-pearl—layer by layer. This nacre forms in microscopic crystalline sheets, bending light into iridescent blues, greens, purples, and silvers that shift with every movement.
We are shifting too.

Each shell is a living journal, recording the tides, the minerals, the turbulence of the water it calls home. The more wild and mineral-rich the sea, the more vibrant the shell becomes.

These shells have long been spiritual allies for calming the nervous system, encouraging heartfelt communication, and tuning into the wisdom that whispers quietly beneath the noise of the world.

Our Ears of the Sea Abalone necklaces are love letters to time, light, and listening.

They remind us that nature speaks in slow layers, that beauty often forms under pressure, that messages arrive exactly when we’re ready to receive them.

Water holds memory. Japanese researcher Masaru Emoto showed that kind words spoken to water created crystalline beauty, while harsh words fractured its form.

Abalone reminds us to speak kindly—to ourselves, to others, to the world. May these pieces be talismans of how we wield our words, our actions, our songs.

Each piece is ethically sourced and handcrafted to honor the sea’s story and that of your own as you emerge from the depths of water season and step into the light that was always with you.

Wear the Whispers of Water
For those of you in the St. Louis area, I am hosting an in-person Qoya class, guided nature ritual and mini POUND Pop-Up at Chakra Wellness this Sunday from
4-6pm. The theme concocted itself following the massive tornado that hit our town and carved a 23 mile path of destruction and loss.

The storm made me think about how our inner landscapes sometimes mirror what’s happening around us… how we’re always being asked to let go, to re-root, to find new ways of belonging when things shift unexpectedly.

It will be a gentle weaving of movement, breath, and ritual. A chance to feel your body again, to remember your own resilience, and to offer something back to the land that holds us.

We’ll dance, we’ll breathe, we’ll listen. And together, we’ll make a small offering of gratitude and care to the earth. I write about my nature offerings (a practice learned via Rochelle Schieck who has been studying with the Q'ero and this potent tradition for over a decade) in these letters to you sometimes and how transformative and how life-altering they are.

If you feel called, I’d love for you to join us. There’s room for 12 souls.

You can save your spot here → EMERGENCE: An Embodied Gathering in Honor of What's Been Uprooted

P.S. After we move, I’ll have a small pop-up with pieces made to honor what’s been shifted and reshaped. A portion of sales will go directly to rebuilding efforts in our community.

Rooted and Sea-Shining Love from the 3 of us xxx
